Join Nonprofit Leadership Initiative (NPLI) and Erin Schultz-Wege, Executive Director of SOAR Fox Cities Inc., in an interactive leadership roundtable session designed to equip nonprofit leaders with the tools to establish a robust succession plan for finance and development operations.
TOPICS:
- Documentation of key financial accounts and processes
- Roles in record-keeping and investment account management
- Funder databases and donation management
- How to maintain and manage campaigns during leadership changes
WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
Nonprofit leaders and board members serving a nonprofit located within NPLI's Service Area.
This is a space for nonprofit leaders and board members to learn and have open dialogue. Attendance is capped at 30 people to provide time and space for authentic, peer-to-peer sharing.
FACILITATOR:
Erin Schultz-Wege - Executive Director, SOAR Fox Cities
Erin is a nonprofit leader with nearly 20 years of experience and a heart for mission-driven work. She holds a master's degree in social work from UW-Green Bay and has served in a wide range of organizations - from providing re-entry and AODA counseling in Milwaukee, to supporting survivors of domestic violence at a shelter on the Menominee Indian Reservation, to leading a family homelessness shelter through a capital campaign and move into a new space.
Today, Erin leads SOAR Fox Cities where she oversees everything from payroll and finance procedures to grant strategy, donor stewardship, and endowment planning - all while making sure the mission never gets lost in the math. She believes succession planning when framed as an act of care, sustainability, and leadership - not departure and doom - becomes way more approachable. It's not about planning for someone to leave, it's about ensuring the mission keeps thriving no matter what and with the right mindset (and maybe a little humor), it doesn't have to suck.
COST:
This is a free event, thanks to sponsorship provided by CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen), so participation is limited to nonprofits located within and primarily serving our service area (Outagamie, Calumet, Shawano and Waupaca Counties and the Neenah-Menasha area of Winnebago County).
